Access Log Manager
Access Log Manager - what role does it have and how you could use the info you can find inside it.
An access log includes a record of all files that have been requested by the visitors while surfing around your site. The list is detailed, so if you have a web page with two embedded images, for instance, all of the three files shall be in the log, not only the page. An access log typically contains the date, the OS, the web browser and the IP address for every file in human-readable form, so you can get a more complete picture about the hottest files on your site. The log, that is also commonly referred to as "raw data", is an addition to the web data which you typically get with a hosting account, not a replacement. One example why you could need this sort of a log is if you want to use some software on your computer system to prepare a report about the website’s efficiency, but you do not want to use the conventional graphs and tables that come with the server-generated web stats.

Access Log Manager in Hosting
Our custom-built Hepsia CP includes a section focused on various logs and the access logs are among them. As you sign in to your
hosting account and take a look at this section, you will find a list of all the
domains and subdomains you have. All it takes to allow the generation of access logs is to press a button which will be available next to each and every domain/subdomain. If the option is enabled, you will see a download link together with the file size so far, so you shall be able to save the file to your computer and examine it or process it with some app. Enabling or disabling the logs takes effect right away, so if you don't need one, you could stop it with simply a click from the very same section of the Control Panel. You'll still have the ability to access the already created content by simply clicking on the Download link.

Access Log Manager in Semi-dedicated Hosting
Our leading-edge hosting platform will generate access logs for each website hosted within a
semi-dedicated server account, provided that this function is permitted. All domains and subdomains that you have shall be listed inside the Access/Error Logs section of the Hepsia CP, that we provide with all the accounts, so if you would like our system to start creating logs for any of them, you should simply click on the small button on the right side of the respective domain/subdomain and change the default Off option to On. You can stop this feature anytime by following the exact same steps. You will find a Download link for each log within the very same section of the CP, so you could save the content gathered by our system in .txt format with simply a click. An existing log file could be downloaded even after the function has been deactivated, so you'll still be able to view the data that has already been generated.
