Multiple OS
Learn how you could transform your hosting server from the starting with a selection of Multiple Operating Systems.
Each and every personal computer or server is run by an Operating System - the low-level software that interacts with the hardware, including peripherals such as a mouse or a printer, along with any apps that are currently installed on your system. Any program input using a command line or a Graphical User Interface (GUI) is processed by sending an Application Program Interface (API) request to the OS. On a web server, any app runs within the parameters set by the OS as well - priority, physical memory, processing time, etc. This goes for both standard Internet site scripts and server-side software like a media server. In case a virtual server is set up on a physical one, there can be two independent Operating Systems, named guest OS and host OS, which means that you'll be able to set up a different software environment on the very same machine.

Multiple OS in VPS Hosting
Our
virtual private server packages come with three Linux distributions that you can choose from for the Operating System of your new server - Debian, Ubuntu and CentOS. Apart from being free, the OSs are really stable and secure and the main reason to offer you the three of them is to make sure that you'll be able to run each app that you would like, because different pieces of software could have different requirements with regards to the environment they work on. Each of the three OSs is supported by a large community of web developers who have made a large number of software packages that you can set up and use on your VPS. In accordance with the Operating System that you choose, you will also be able to select between 3 different Control Panels to take care of your hosting content. Of course, in case you decide that you need some other OS, we could always re-install the server with it. As an optional upgrade, we also offer weekly updates of the Operating System for max stability and security.

Multiple OS in Dedicated Web Hosting
If you decide to purchase one of our
dedicated servers, you'll find three Operating Systems on the registration page as we want to give you a larger choice regarding the system environment on your server as different apps can have certain requirements. CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian feature different modules developed by their large support communities, so you can select any of these OSs and benefit from a stable and risk-free hosting service. Depending on your selection, you will also have different Control Panels to choose from. Needless to say, we can always replace the Operating System if the one you have selected initially does not meet the requirements of the software that you would like to run. We can also update your OS regularly to keep it as secure as possible through our Managed Services upgrade package.
